General Questions

You can book via phone, email, or our website contact form. Please provide:

  • Type of service required (carpet, upholstery, or exterior cleaning)
  • Approximate area size or number of rooms/items
  • Type and age of materials/surfaces
  • Any specific stains or problem areas
  • Your location for travel time estimation

Note: Final pricing may be adjusted after on-site inspection if actual conditions differ significantly from initial description.

Cancellation Charges Apply:
  • 48+ hours notice: No charge
  • 24-48 hours notice: 50% of quoted service price
  • Less than 24 hours or no access: Full service charge

We require safe, unobstructed access at the scheduled time. Failure to provide access will be treated as a late cancellation.

Payment is due in full upon completion of service, before our technicians leave the premises.

Accepted methods:

  • Bank Transfer
  • Debit/Credit Cards

Late payments may incur interest charges and recovery costs.

Yes, we carry full Public Liability Insurance. Insurance certificates are available on request.

Important: Any damage claims must be reported in writing within 24 hours of service completion. Claims reported after this period will not be accepted.

Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

Recommended frequency depends on several factors:

  • Heavy traffic households: Every 6-9 months
  • Average households: Every 12-18 months
  • Low traffic/guest areas: Every 18-24 months
  • With pets/children: Consider more frequent cleaning (every 4-6 months)

Regular professional cleaning extends carpet life and maintains appearance.

Important: We cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains or discolouration.

Stain removal success depends on:

  • Type of stain (coffee, wine, ink, pet accidents, etc.)
  • Age of the stain
  • Fibre composition and dye stability
  • Previous cleaning attempts
  • Colourfastness of materials

We will make every effort to achieve the best possible results, but some soiling may be permanent. Please identify all stains before we begin.

Carpets will be left damp after cleaning. Typical drying times are 4-12 hours depending on:

  • Material type and thickness (wool vs synthetic)
  • Room temperature and humidity levels
  • Ventilation and air circulation
  • Weather conditions
  • Underlay type
Aftercare Important: Keep furniture off damp carpets until completely dry to prevent re-soiling, mould growth, and compression marks.

Before Service:

  • Remove breakables and valuables from cleaning areas
  • Identify and disclose all stains/areas of concern
  • Secure pets and children away from work areas
  • Move small furniture if possible (we can move light furniture)
  • Vacuum thoroughly if possible

After Service:

  • Ensure adequate ventilation for drying
  • Keep foot traffic off damp carpets
  • Replace furniture only when completely dry (use protective pads)
  • Report any concerns immediately to the technician

Yes, we use professional-grade, environmentally responsible cleaning solutions. However:

  • We recommend keeping pets and children away until surfaces are completely dry
  • Individuals with chemical sensitivities should avoid the area during cleaning and until dry
  • We always test for colourfastness before proceeding

If you have specific allergies or sensitivities, please inform us before we begin.

Jet Washing & Exterior Cleaning

We can clean various exterior surfaces including:

  • Concrete driveways & patios
  • Block paving & stone surfaces
  • Decking & wooden surfaces
  • Brickwork & render
  • Fences & gates
  • Gutters & fascias
  • Paths & walkways
  • Walls & boundary walls

Note: Some surfaces may require specific treatments or lower pressure settings.

We use professional equipment with adjustable pressure settings and appropriate techniques for each surface type. However:

  • We assess surface condition before starting
  • Older or weakened surfaces may require special care
  • We cannot be responsible for pre-existing weaknesses that become apparent after cleaning
  • Loose pointing, crumbling mortar, or deteriorating surfaces should be reported before service

Yes, we can effectively treat and remove:

  • Oil and grease stains
  • Algae, moss, and lichen
  • Mould and mildew
  • General dirt and grime buildup
  • Rust stains (where appropriate)
Note: Some deeply ingrained or aged stains may not be completely removable. We will advise on likely outcomes during inspection.

Before we arrive, please:

  • Ensure clear access to the area
  • Move vehicles, garden furniture, and potted plants
  • Keep windows and doors closed in the work area
  • Provide access to an outdoor water supply if needed
  • Secure pets away from the work area
  • Identify any fragile or special surfaces

You do not need to be present if access arrangements are made in advance.

Recommended frequency depends on:

  • Driveways/Patios: Every 12-24 months
  • Decking: Every 6-12 months (may need treatment afterwards)
  • Walls/Fences: Every 18-36 months
  • Gutters: Annually (especially before winter)

Areas with heavy shade, moisture, or tree cover may require more frequent cleaning.

Complaints & Concerns

Notify Technician Immediately

Inform the technician before they leave so concerns can be addressed on-site.

Formal Written Complaint

If unresolved, email info@mvmcleaning.co.uk within 24 hours with details and photos.

Review & Resolution

We will review your concern and propose a resolution within 48 hours.

Critical: Claims for damage must be reported in writing within 24 hours of service completion. Claims after this period cannot be accepted.

Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided. We are not liable for:

  • Pre-existing conditions or material weaknesses
  • Improper installations or repairs
  • Damage caused by failure to follow aftercare instructions
  • Colour loss or bleeding on non-colourfast materials
  • Normal wear and tear

We always test materials where possible and advise on potential risks before proceeding.
