Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions govern all cleaning services provided by MvM Cleaning Services ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By booking our services, you ("Customer", "you") agree to be legally bound by these terms in their entirety.
2. Service Nature & Limitations
We provide professional carpet, upholstery, and exterior cleaning services. It is critically important to understand that:
- No Guarantee of Stain Removal: We cannot guarantee complete removal of all stains or discolouration. Success depends on factors beyond our control including stain type, age, fibre composition, and previous treatments.
- Results Not Guaranteed: Final cleaning results are not guaranteed unless specifically stated in writing prior to service. Some soiling may be permanent.
- Material Integrity: We are not responsible for pre-existing weaknesses, wear, or damage that may become apparent after cleaning, including colour loss, shrinkage, or seam separation.
- Colourfastness: We test for colourfastness, but cannot be held responsible for colour bleeding or loss if materials are not colourfast.
3. Pricing & Quotations
- Quoted prices are based on information provided at booking
- Final price may be adjusted if actual condition differs significantly from initial description
- We reserve the right to requote upon on-site inspection before work begins
- All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable
4. Booking & Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Notice Requirements
- 48+ hours notice: No charge
- Less than 48 hours: 50% of quoted service price
- Less than 24 hours or no access: Full service charge
We require safe, unobstructed access to all areas at the scheduled time. Failure to provide access will be treated as a late cancellation.
5. Payment Terms
- Payment is due in full upon completion of service
- Payment must be made before technicians leave the premises
- Accepted methods: Cash, Bank Transfer, Debit/Credit Cards
- Late payments may incur interest charges and recovery costs
6. Customer Responsibilities
- Remove breakables and valuables from cleaning areas
- Identify and disclose all stains/areas of concern
- Secure pets and children away from work areas
- Move small furniture if possible
- Ensure adequate ventilation for drying
- Keep foot traffic off damp carpets
- Replace furniture only when completely dry
- Report any concerns immediately
7. Drying Times & Aftercare
Carpets and upholstery will be left damp. Typical drying times are 4-12 hours depending on:
- Material type and thickness
- Room temperature and humidity
- Ventilation levels
- Weather conditions
8. Liability & Damage Claims
- Our liability is limited to the cost of the service provided
- We are not liable for pre-existing conditions or improper installations
- We carry full Public Liability Insurance (certificates available on request)
- Damage caused by customer failure to follow instructions is not covered
9. Health, Safety & Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if:
- Unsafe conditions are present (biohazards, aggressive pets, structural issues)
- Specialist treatment beyond our scope is required
- Customer behaviour endangers our staff
A minimum charge may apply for cancelled on-site visits.
10. Complaints Procedure
Notify Technician Immediately
Inform the technician before they leave the premises so concerns can be addressed on-site.
Formal Written Complaint
If unresolved, email info@mvmcleaning.co.uk within 24 hours with details and photos.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. The current version will always be published on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
